Staglets secure 4th win

Jasper Magno with a right drive, leads them for their 4th win

San Sebastian Golden Staglets defeated the Lyceum Junior Pirates with the score 72-66 held last August 6 at San Juan Arena.

Stepping up in the game was the team captain, Jasper Philip Magno with 31 points. Staglets started strong with a commanding lead of 11 points to end the 1^st quarter, 21-10.

Ilagan sets up a defensive stance to protect the basket

Rookie Staglet Jesse Bardaje, Jr. opened the 2^nd quarter with his first 2-point basket followed by a 3-point shot from Enrico Gabriel Ong, another rookie. Junior Pirates immediately answered back to cut the lead to 2. However, Jasper Magno fired a three to end the first half, 31-26.

Junior Pirates made a 10-5 run to tie the game at 36 but Jasneth Causon scored a 3-point shot to regain the lead. 3^rd quarter ended, 47-42, still in favor of Staglets.

In the 4^th quarter, Junior Pirates tried to get back in the game as they came close, 61-58. But Staglets made defensive stops in the final minute to clinch their 4^th win.
