The Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro (PASADO) committee held its press conference for the 17th Pasado Awards on March 11, Wednesday, at Captain’s Galley of San Sebastian College – Recoletos Manila, the host institution for this year’s awarding ceremonies.
PASADO, as an award-giving body, honors movies that the academe can use to enhance teaching and learning all kinds of discipline. The said conference was intended for the announcement of winners for the 17th Pasado Awards. The winners in the different categories were:

17th PASADO Awards is set on April 11, 2015 at Fr. Diego Cera Auditorium from 6: 00 – 9: 00 PM.
Gawad Pasado has plans also of conferring awards to artists in the music industry but the challenge lies in the limited resources hindering the committee to do so. “Mahal po kaya ang glass trophy!” Prof. Arc Pizara jokingly said. “Pero nasa puso naman naming iyon.”
Since Gawad Pasado is a non-profit organization, most of its funds are from generous schools supporting their advocacy.
Seemingly, Gawad Pasado holds firmly on its criteria in bestowing awards despite the pressure of biases in declaring ties. “Parang sa school diba, okay lang na kahit ilan yung summa cum laude, as long as they were able to submit the requirements,” said Mr. Adobas.
