Rev. Fr. Nemesio D. Tolentin, O.A.R is named as the 16th President of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila for the 2015 – 2018 triennium. The installation administered by Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, O.A.R., Prior Provincial, on July 8, 2015 at the Bulwagang Diego Cera. Before his college presidency, Fr. Tolentin has worked in the educational apostolate either as an educator, manager, or VP for Business and Finance in the following schools: University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos in 1991; San Sebastian College – Recoletos de Cavite from 1991 – 2000; and San Sebastian College – Recoletos Manila from 2006 – 2012. Due to the enormous task and great responsibility attached to it, he was first hesitant to accept the presidency. Moreover, he believed that he is not even the best fit for the position considering his shortcomings and weaknesses. If he had it his way, he would have wanted to simply become a religious priest silently contributing little things for the church and for the Recollect Order. “But as an obedient servant of God and respect and obedience to my superiors, I humbly accept this new mission entrusted to me . . . I humbly accept this responsibility because I love San Sebastian and I care for San Sebastian” said Fr. Tolentin in his inaugural message. His administration primarily aims to steer the school to its proper direction for the greater accomplishments of the school and for the optimal attainment of the vision, mission, and objectives of the institution. Committed to fulfill the tasks, duties, and obligations are the newly-appointed Religious Administrators for this triennium: Rev, Fr. Emeterio D. Buñao, O.A.R. – VP for Administration and HRDC Director; Rev. Fr. Ferdinand V. Fornilos, O.A.R. – VP for Academic Affairs; Rev. Fr. Rouel M. Sia, O.A.R. – VP for Business Finance; Rev. Fr. Glynn C. Ortega, O.A.R VP for Student Welfare and Directory for Scholarship program; Rev. Fr. Gideon Antolin U. Lagrimas, O.A.R. – VP for Religious Affairs, Chaplain, Campus Minister, and SOFI Director; Rev. Fr. Gaudencio Geronimo L. De Mesa, Jr. O.A.R. – School Board Secretary and Dean of Religious Education; Rev. Fr. Rene F. Paglinawan, O.A.R. – Director for Basic Education and Local Prior; and Rev. Fr. Excel B. Saycon, O.A.R. – Property Administrator.
